The Rev. Patrick G. Perrin was born in Spanish Town, Jamaica, in the West Indies. He is a graduate of the Spanish Town Primary School and the St. Jago High School.

He retired as an Elder in the New York Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church (UMC) in 2019. His last appointment was the St. John’s UMC of Elmont, N.Y. He has pastored churches in Trinidad and Tobago and in Jamaica, and since the 80’s in Brooklyn, New York. - Ebenezer Wesleyan Methodist Church; St. Mark’s UMC; and Hanson Place Central UMC. He served as Youth Pastor of the Barnes UMC Indianapolis, Indiana and as Methodist Chaplain of the University of the West Indies, Trinidad, and Chaplain/Tutor of the Excelsior High School in Kingston, Jamaica.

Rev. Patrick Perrin has also maintained an interest in Ecumenism serving at a national representative on the Student Christian Movement (SCM) at conferences in Mexico and Nicaragua; a steering committee member of the World Student Christian Federation (WSCF) meeting in San Francisco, CA; a member of the Theological Education Fund (TEF) of the Division of World Mission and Evangelism (DWME) of the World Council of Churches (WCC), Meeting in Bromley, (Eng) and in London, (Eng). He Presided over the Brooklyn Ecumenical Cooperative (BEC) in the late 1980s during a period in which the BEC developed over 1000 units of affordable housing through the BEC New Communities Inc., founded the BEFederal Credit Union (now Peoples Alliance Federal Credit Union) and the Community Capital Bank designed to serve minority and women owned businesses.

Pastor Perrin is a graduate of The UWI - B.Sc. Econ; B.A. Theol; UTCWI – Dip. Min. Studies; Christian Theological Seminary, (CTS) Indianapolis, Indiana, M. Min. He has served on the Board of Trustees and the Board of Ordained Ministries of the NYAC and chaired the Nominations Committee.

Since retirement he has served as Interim Pastor of Janes United Methodist Church in Bedford Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, New York. (July 2020 to June 2022), Grace UMC St. Albans, NY (August 2022) and is currently the Interim Pastor of North UMC, Hartford, CT.

He is married to Pansy Perrin, also a graduate of the St. Jago High School and the UWI. They have four children: Ayesha, Ayanna, Ayodeji and Ajahni and five grand-children: Emery and Teodor (twins), Mason, Ayla and Ember. He enjoys reading, board games (Dominoes) sports, travel, music (all genres), playing the piano and organ, choral singing and cooking.
